Litton Das' wicket in 2nd ODI (Source:@windiescricket/X.com)
Litton Das is one of the most highly rated batters in Bangladesh cricket but he is going through a massive lean patch. Litton Das could not make an impact in the first game and in the second game too, he has let his team down with another poor performance.
The wicketkeeper batter could muster just four runs in 19 balls and played a horrendous shot which led to his downfall in the eighth over. Jayden Seales was the bowler for West Indies and it was a short delivery on off.
Bangladesh's Batting Falters In 2nd ODI
The ball came slow off the deck than Das anticipated and played his pull shot way early as the ball hit the toe-end of his blade and went to the right of the point fielder who grabbed a brilliant diving catch.
Das has struggled big time in recent past and was even dropped from the ODI squad against Afghanistan. He was expected to make a strong comeback against the Windies, but things have not gone his way in two games so far and it has not helped his team's confidence.
Apart from Litton Das, other batters like Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Afif Hossain and Jaker Ali could not score much runs and only Tanzid Hasan batted well, scoring 46 off 33 balls.
Bangladesh are already trailing in the series with the home team winning the first game by five wickets and another loss would mean that they lose the series with one game to go.
