Abhishek Sharma was one of the brighest young stars in IPL 2025 as he scored 484 runs at a stunning strike-rate of over 200. His antics at the top of the order earned him the national call-up and the batter hamered century straightaway against Zimbabwe to announce his arrival on the big stage.

He could not make big scores against Bangladesh and South Africa, but the aggressive intent was still there, and he continued that in SMAT 2024 as well. He recently smashed a 28-ball century while playing for Punjab in the same competition and now has dazzled again with 22-ball 60 in the Times Shield tournament.

Abhishek Sharma Shows His Power In Domestic Cricket

The prestigious Times Shield tournament is played with red-ball, but Abhishek Sharma did not back away and played his natural game. He launched some massive blows, all over the park, hitting the ball out of the playing area with great ease. He hit both pacers and spinners in his knock and has once again shown the kind of impact he can make with his willow.

Abhishek Sharma was retained for 14 Crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad after his powerful batting at the top of the order played a big role in their journey towards the final in the 2024 edition. He now seems motivated to play in every domestic tournament that comes his way, and with Vijay Hazare Trophy and half of the Ranji season still left, he would be looking to deliver some big performances.

The southpaw is currently looked as a quality T20 cricketer, but if he can score runs in other formats in domestic cricket, we might see him playing those in Indian colours as well.
