Kuldeep Yadav, traditionally celebrated for his left-arm chinaman bowling, emerged as an unexpected batting sensation in the third Test of the ongoing five-match series between India and England at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot on Sunday.

IND vs ENG: Kuldeep Yadav hit first international six

With India already in a commanding position, Kuldeep Yadav's entry to bat as a night watchman on the third day was seen as a strategic move. However, by the fourth day, he had escalated to a crucial figure, challenging the English bowlers with his audacious strokeplay.

The peak of his performance was reached early on Day 4 when the southpaw took on England's spinner Tom Hartley, dispatching the ball for a magnificent six over cow corner.

This was Kuldeep's first six in international cricket, a milestone that quickly went viral on social media. The Kuldeep Yadav six highlighted the significant improvements in batting, hinting at his burgeoning all-round capabilities.

Amidst this individual brilliance, the Indian team continued to bolster their position in the IND vs ENG third Test. The departure of Shubman Gill for 91, narrowly missing a century, brought a moment of disappointment. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal, overcoming back spasms that had him retired hurt the previous day, returned to the crease to partner with Yadav.

Together, they have pushed India's score to 249/3, bolstering the lead to 375 runs. Jaiswal is batting on 106 runs alongside Yadav's 27 off 75 balls, featuring three fours and the unforgettable six, which has set India on its way to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
