When KL Rahul is in the mood, there are only a few who look more beautiful than him while batting. The wicket-keeper batter has been playing a knock for a lifetime since yesterday during India’s first Test of the two-match series against South Africa, and a shot that attracted the most attention was the one which he played against Kagiso Rabada on Day 2 of the contest.

It was the last ball of the 65th over of the innings by Kagiso Rabada, which was a short-of-a-length delivery towards the leg stump. Rahul saw the opportunity and played a beautiful pull shot for a six over deep square leg. It looked so pleasing to the eyes, and that was some statement from him, who is batting as low as No. 6 due to his additional wicket-keeping duties.

To things look more beautiful, it was an excellent catch by one of the spectators who was there at the stadium.

Meanwhile, Rahul kept on batting aggressively and reached a fantastic hundred in style. He smashed Gerald Coetzee for a six in the following over to get to a three-digit mark which will be lauded by many for some time.

At the time of writing, India are batting on 245/9, with Rahul scoring 101* off just 133 balls.
