Josh Inglis is one of the most highly rated wicketkeeper batter in Australia, and is slowly but steadily making his name in international cricket too. He played some important knocks in the World Cup 2023 and has started the T20I series with a blast as well, smashing a 47-ball century.

The first T20I between India and Australia at Visakhapatnam is turning out to be another tough game for Indians as Aussie batters are smashing it all over the park and Inglis is looking dangerous with his brutal power-hitting.

India won the toss and elected to bowl first with a hope that their pacers will make early inroads. However, It was the leg-break of Ravi Bishnoi that got India its first breakthrough in the fifth over with a wicket of Matthew Short. Inglis though is looking in great touch and is tonking the ball, all over the park with Smith also doing his job to perfection.

Josh Inglis got to his fifty with a clean hit in the 12th over when he launched a full delivery from Ravi Bishnoi over long on. It went flat and quick and that six to get to his fifty was followed by a four and a six, making it a 18-run over.

After his fifty, Inglis shifted to top gear and started a carnage as Indian bowlers looked completely out of ideas. On the way, Steve Smith departed for 52 off 41 balls, but Inglis continued his onslaught and reached his first century in T20I off just 47 balls. The century came in the 17th over, and by the time he departed in the 18th over, Australia already had 180 on the board.
