On the 39th ball, Sean Abbott delivered a pitched-up ball around off; with his unique style, Root lofted it over the long off with the meat of the bat for a spectacular maximum.

The timing and the bat swing were so exquisite and down to perfection that everyone, including the commentators, was left awestruck with its beauty.

The extension of the arms allowed him to hit it through the line and execute beautiful batting.

Eventually, Joe Root departed after scoring 33 runs off 19 balls; his innings included one boundary and three maximums at a strike rate of 173.

In the first innings, BP put up a total of 138. During the chase, the Trent Rockets team put up a fierce fight, with Alex Hales, Joe Root, and Rovman Powell emerging as lone warriors.

However, their efforts were not enough as they fell short by just six runs, leading to Birmingham Phoenix's narrow victory.
