[Watch] Joe Root Takes A Stunner To Remove Head; Marks A Remarkable Record in Tests

On Day 4 of the Lord's Test match, the English bowlers are making an inspiring comeback against Australia. Just like the Aussies, the tactic for the Ben Stokes-led unit was bodyline. The home bowlers kept on questioning the visitors with a barrage of short balls and took the reward in the form of three big wickets.

Against the short ball music, Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith applied themselves to perfection but eventually fell prey. The opener miscued a hook off Stuart Broad to end his day at 77, meanwhile, Smith was removed by Josh Tongue.

However, of all the wickets that have fallen thus far in the day, Travis Head's dismissal was the most memorable one. The attacking batter fell in Broad's trap as he couldn't keep the short ball down, and Joe Root at short leg did the rest.

The former English captain scooped a one-handed stunner. The ball was directed into the armpit of the southpaw, who failed to ride on the bounce and played towards the left of the fielder, who did some stunts to look the catch as a regular one.

Interestingly, the catch to dismiss Head was Root's 176th grab at the Test level. With this, the 32-year-old has surpassed his former captain, Sir Alastair Cook (175) in terms of catches in Test cricket.

Talking about the ongoing match, Australia's lead has gone past the 300-run mark with Cameron Green and Alex Carey marching hard in the first session of the penultimate day.
