MI wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan missed out on scoring big for his team during the 55th match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium.
Opening the batting for MI after SRH posted a formidable score of 173 for the home team to chase, the incident occurred during the second over of MI's innings.
Just before walking back to the hut, Ishan Kishan smashed the SRH bowling all-rounder Marco Jansen. In the next ball, he got rid of the star batter, providing an early breakthrough to the Orange army.

It was a good length delivery by Jansen, angling into the middle. Ishan closed the face of the bat to flick it on the leg side but got the leading edge of the bat that flew to first slip, who made no mistake and took it safely. A peach of a delivery from the tall bowler left Ishan completely outfoxed.
At the time of writing, MI was reeling at 31 for 3 in 5 overs, with Tilak Varma and Surya Kumar Yadav at the crease.
