Irish spinner Ben White expressed confidence in his side's formidable lineup and their capability to secure victory against India in the upcoming three-match series scheduled to starting this Friday.

Ireland is fielding their preferred players for the series, whereas India is providing opportunities to their emerging talents, with an eye on the T20 World Cup scheduled for the following year.

"We can beat anyone on our day - you never know what can happen and you have to believe. Playing against India at home is huge, they're the best team in the world but we are relishing the challenge," White told the BBC.

White, who boasts a record of 21 wickets from 18 T20Is, has identified Sanju Samson as his primary target among the batsmen he aims to dismiss. Despite acknowledging the Indian batsmen's competence in handling spin bowling, he emphasised that he won't shy away from his aggressive approach.

"He's been very good over the last years and they have some very exciting talent in their squad - in truth, I'd be happy with anyone's wicket. They are very good players of spin but I don't think I would be more defensive. I'll just be trying to take wickets and attacking," he further added.

During the interview, White also conveyed that the team is filled with enthusiasm and they intend to alleviate pressure by adhering to their established playing style and said:

"Everyone's excited and we'll eliminate pressure by playing the way we do. Every ball is an event and we have to stay one step ahead of them. We'll enjoy it - with the big crowd they bring to the ground and the noise they make it should be a great spectacle," the bowler concluded.

Having suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of West Indies in the recent five-match T20I series, India is determined to rectify their performance under the leadership of Jasprit Bumrah against the Irish men led by Paul Stirling.
