St Lucia Kings had a dismal start to the CPL 2023, losing the tournament opener against Jamaica Tallawahs. In reply, the hosts crumbled and managed only 176 runs, thereby incurring an 11-run defeat. 

Roston Chase emerged as the biggest positive for the Kings, as he starred with both bat and ball, slamming 53 runs and scalping three wickets.
