In the ongoing World Cup second match between Pakistan and the Netherlands, Pakistan batted first and scored 286 runs. This set a challenging target for the Netherlands to chase. Unfortunately, the Netherlands got off to a cautious start and lost the early wicket of Max O'Dowd, who scored only 5 runs off 12 balls.

The second wicket fell when Iftikhar Ahmed bowled a brilliant 12th over, making an instant impact. Netherlands' Colin Ackermann attempted a sweep shot but moved way across to his right. Iftikhar Ahmed bowled a middle-stump line, which Colin failed to connect and it eventually knocked over his middle pole. Ackermann managed only 17 runs off 21 balls before being sent back to the pavilion which is a big blow for the Dutch, as he is one of the experienced heads in the batting line-up, capable of taking the game deep.
