South African batter, Heinrich Klaasen's bat spoke volumes today as he scored a blistering century off just 57 balls against Australia during the fourth ODI of the five-match series at the SuperSport Park.

His marvellous knock proved his impeccable form this year, showing the cricketing world his mettle as one of South Africa's leading batters.

With South Africa at a rather uneasy 120/3 in 25.1 overs, the pressure was evident. But Klaasen, coming in at No. 5, seemed unfazed. He began his innings in a measured manner, dispatching only the loose deliveries to the fence. However, his mastery against the Australian spin attack was particularly noteworthy, with the spinners struggling to pin him down.

Rassie van der Dussen partnered well with Klaasen, knitting a vital 74-run partnership. But it was post van der Dussen's dismissal that Klaasen truly began his fireworks. His half-century was brought up with a dramatic six off Josh Hazlewood, signalling the onslaught that was to follow.

In a display of sheer batting dominance, as he neared the century mark, Klaasen took on Marcus Stoinis with aplomb, smashing three sixes in a span of just four balls. And with a swift single, the Centurion crowd was on its feet, celebrating Klaasen's magnificent ton.

At the moment, Klaasen seems unstoppable, with the Australian pacers bearing the brunt of his aggression. Currently poised at an impressive 132 runs off 70 balls, the South African star's innings is adorned with 11 boundaries and eight towering sixes.

With South Africa's scoreboard reading 329/4 after 45 overs, the stage is set for a grand finish. Klaasen, alongside David Miller, has stitched an unbeaten partnership of 135 runs. The duo appears to be in the mood to add many more to the tally, setting their sights on pushing the score past the 375 mark.
