Mumbai Indians' captain Hardik Pandya had a forgettable day with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals.

Hailed for his power-hitting skills, Pandya failed to play an impactful knock this time, being dismissed for a sloth-paced 33-ball 39. Anrich Nortje emerged as his nemesis, as he dismissed him with a harmless full toss.

The incident occurred in the 18th over of MI's innings when they needed Pandya to step up with the bat and ensure a fitting finish for them.

The over, bowled by Anrich Nortje, began on a positive note for MI, with Tim David capitalising on the pacer's poor bowling and collecting 11 runs off his first two deliveries.

However, Nortje made a remarkable comeback, getting the prized scalp of Pandya on his fifth delivery. After bowling two consecutive dot balls, Nortje bowled a full toss, allowing Pandya to capitalise on it.

But unfortunately for the hosts, Pandya couldn't get the hold of it, hitting it straight to the square leg fielder, Jake Fraser-McGurk, who completed an easy catch.

Meanwhile, Pandya's partner in crime, Tim David is going strong at one end. As of writing, David's incredible hitting has powered MI to 202 for five in 19 overs.
