Hardik Pandya has been under a lot of criticism throughout IPL 2024 for his indifferent leadership skills and failure with bat and ball in hand. He desperately needs a good performance to win back some fans and in the 51st game of IPL 2024, he has started well with a big wicket of Narine in his very first over.

Hardik Pandya came out to bowl in the 5th over and was hammered for a six on the very first ball from Sunil Narine. It seemed that Hardik has made a big mistake by bringing himself on in the Powerplay again, but on the very next ball, he knocked over Narine with a shortish delivery as Narine missed a wild slog across the line.

It was the fourth wicket of KKR's innings, after Salt, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Shreyas Iyer all departed cheaply. After the Powerplay, on the very first ball, Piyush Chawla got the better of Rinku Singh and  KKR were reduced to 57-5. Earlier, Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first and this was exactly the start he would have hoped for in front of their passionate fans.
