It's time for the 52nd match of IPL 2024 and we have Royal Challengers Bengaluru back at Chinnaswamy after two comprehensive wins on the trot. They have Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans to tackle now, and with both teams desperate for those two crucial points, it promises to be a cracking encounter.
Talking about Gujarat Titans, they were absolutely hammered by RCB at their home turf in the last game and need to win all the games from hereon, to keep their realistic hopes of qualifying for the playoffs alive.
They have shuffled their team a lot this season, to find a perfect combination, but things have not gone their way consistently and we might see some changes again in this game. There is a possibility of bringing in Kane Williamson back, but Azmatullah Omarzai provides all-round skills, so it is highly unlikely that he will be dropped.
With addition of Omarzai, Gujarat have six quality bowlers in their ranks and with Shahrukh Khan scoring runs in the last game, their batting also looks decent. However, Wriddhiman Saha has not been able to get going since he he has made his comeback after an injury, and if he does take GT to a good start in the Powerplay, they have the firepower to capitalise later.
