It seems like birthday boy, Hardik Pandya is having a dream World Cup game against the Afghanistan side.

After picking up the crucial wicket of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Hardik came back to haunt the Afghanistan side with the timely wicket of danger man, Azmatullah Omarzai.

At one stage, Afghanistan had lost three wickets, and were in danger of getting bundled out for a low score. However, the duo of Azmatullah Omarzai and Hashmatullah Shahidi formed a dream partnership and bailed their side out of a precarious situation.

The run-rate, which was hovering at 4 runs per over, suddenly jumped to over 5, as both the batters took the attacking approach against the Indian bowlers.

With India needing a breakthrough, Rohit Sharma went back to Hardik, who didn't disappoint. The all-rounder bowled a superb off-cutter which foxed Omarzai. The Afghan batter tried to steer it through the third man region, but was outdone by the delivery as his stumps were castled.

Hardik's reaction summed up the importance of the wicket, as he was charged up after the dismissal. At the moment, Afghanistan have lost 4 wickets, but are well and truly on their way to cross the 250-run mark.
