Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni's bond has been quite special since the time young Pandya made his debut for India under MSD's leadership. Hardik has since then has developed into a gun all-rounder and is now the captain of Mumbai Indians. 

So, when the stage was getting ready for the El-Clasico of IPL, we saw a beautiful moment where Hardik Pandya came running towards MS Dhoni and gave him a nice warm hug, showing the love and respect both share.

MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya last went against each other in IPL during the final of 2023 season when Hardik was leading GT and Dhoni was the captain of CSK. Since then, a lot has changed as MSD has relinquished captaincy duties and Hardik has made a big switch to MI. The all-rounder has been under lot of criticism for this move and it seems that Dhoni has been behind him all through this hard time.

As far as this IPL 2024 clash between MI and CSK is concerned, it is an important one for both the sides with both teams blowing hot and cold so far. CSK have done well at home but have not won outside the comforts of Chepauk and it would be interesting to see how they tackle the might of MI at Wankhede.
