Glenn Maxwell could not believe his eyes on Wednesday after taking an absolute beauty of a catch off Rohit Sharma during Australia’s final ODI against India in Rajkot. The Australian all-rounder picked up a stunner off his own bowling to send back the Indian skipper, who batted aggressively for his fiery 57-ball 81.
Rohit was fluent throughout his stay, and his tally of six sixes and five fours speaks volumes. However, Maxwell, coming to bowl his second over of the day, got the big fish, that too in an unique manner.
It was the last ball of the 21st over by Maxwell, which Rohit slammed hard straight down the ground. The Australian all-rounder tried to move out of the way, but in the process, kept his right hand up.
Maxwell couldn't believe what had just happened when the ball went straight into his hand.
Everyone took a pause when Maxwell took a stunner, as the ball was bound to be smacked. After some time, everyone realized what a ridiculous catch it was and came to Maxwell to congratulate him.
At the time of writing, India are on 157/2 in 24.1 overs, with Virat Kohli batting on 47* alongside Shreyas Iyer, who is on 9*. The Men in Blue still require 7.60 runs per over, chasing a challenging 353.
