Shaheen gets angry [Source: @gavaskar_theman/X.Com]
Shaheen Afridi is known for getting frustrated quickly and it was evident during the 2nd ODI match against South Africa. Fast bowlers have the tendency to get angry, and Shaheen showcased it as a fielding blunder led to his rude gesture.
The incident folded in the 5th over bowled by Shaheen. In that over, he delivered a short of a length ball to Temba Bavuma as the Proteas batter pulled it through the mid wicket region. The fielder at mid wicket was a bit slow to react as he reached towards the ball and threw it towards the strikers end.
Bavuma gave a desperate dive and survived. However, Shaheen Afridi felt that the throw should have come towards the non strikers end as Tony de Zorzi was still outside his crease. The Pakistan pacer gestured towards the fielder, signalling that he should have thrown the ball to him.
Pakistan slam 329 as Proteas in hunt to level the series
Pakistan were put into bat and they made full use of the conditions as the visitors slammed 329 runs and gave a challenging total to the home side.
Fifties from Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Kamran Ghulam ensured that the Men in Green posted a commanding total on the board.
Pakistan scalp two wickets
In pursuit of the target, the hosts have lost two wickets, with Temba Bavuma and Tony de Zorzi back in the hut. The South African side still gave plenty of firepower left in the tank as the team aim to level the series with the win in the second ODI.
