Just when everything was going well for the Pakistan great, Babar Azam, destiny had some other fate as he injured himself while trying to save a boundary. Babar Azam played a brilliant knock in the first innings, however, he was injured during the Proteas batting.
The incident unfolded in the over by Naseem Shah as Proteas batter, Tony de Zorzi pushed a fuller length delivery through the covers and Babar gave it a brilliant chase. Just when it looked the ball will cross the boundary ropes, the Pakistan fielder pulled things back in time and saved a certain boundary.
However, just after saving crucial runs, Babar Azam fell on his knees and looked in some discomfort as he might have injured himself.
Pakistan cannot afford Babar to get injured, as he is a vital cog in the white-ball setup for the Mohammad Rizwan led side.
