Sometimes all you need to do is sit back and admire some of the individuals who have earned legions of followers over the years with illustrious careers. Ellyse Perry is one such personality when it comes to cricket, and her performance on Friday during RCB’s WPL 2024 eliminator against MI spoke volumes.
Opting to bat, RCB could only post 135/6 on the board at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Among them, Perry single-handedly made 66 off 50 balls, which she scored with the help of eight fours and one supreme six.
Then, coming to defend, Perry showed composure yet again. She started off with five dots balls, and then, in the following over, bowled a superb delivery to clean up MI’s dangerous opener Yastika Bhatia.
Bowling from round the wicket, Perry bowled a length delivery which pitched around middle and off stump. Bhatia, batting on 19 off 27 balls, wanted to drive through the leg side, only to miss the line of the delivery completely before it went on to uproot the leg stump.
