Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad locked horns against each other at the ACA-VDCA stadium. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. However, the decision didn't go in their favour as the Men in Orange lost six wickets for less than 150 runs on the board.
Notably, SRH were 37/4 at one point, but Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen stitched a 77-run stand for the 5th wicket. Meanwhile, DC had a couple of chances to get rid of both batters. However, DC dropped Aniket on 6 and one of Klaasen's shot hit the spider cam denying DC a wicket.

On the 2nd ball of the 6th over, Klaasen looked to whack Vipraj Nigam for a big six but mistimed the shot and eventually, the ball landed safely after hitting the spidercam.

What Do IPL Rules Suggest About Ball Hitting The Spider-Cam
Firstly, a ball hitting the spider-cam is a rare event. Nonetheless, IPL have rules in place for such instances. The rulebook suggests that the umpire would give it a dead ball if the ball deviated heavily or there was clear evidence of the ball hitting the spider cam. However, in the ongoing match, the umpire procedded with the no-ball and didn't give it a dead ball.
