Ravindra Jadeja scored only 2 off 4 balls after coming to bat at No. 4 on Wednesday (May 1) in Match 49 of IPL 2024 between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, taking place at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Rahul Chahar got the star all-rounder during the 10th over of CSK's innings after Sam Curran won the toss and asked them to bat first.

It was full delivery on the off stump, which turned sharply. Jadeja was perfectly deceived, and struck right in front of the stumps, and immediately after the LBW appeal, the on-field umpire raised his finger. 

Jadeja was about to walk off, but Gaikwad asked him to stop, and told him to go for a DRS. After thinking for a little, Jadeja signalled T, even though he knew he was gone.

And Jadeja was right, as the replay showed it would have easily broken the stumps had it not been the all-rounder’s stumps.

At the time of writing this, CSK are 110/4 after 15.5 overs, with Gaikwad still batting on 45 off 42 balls. Moeen Ali is batting from other end, on 1* off 1 delivery.
