In the T20 World Cup 2024 match between Australia and Oman in Barbados, veteran Australian opener David Warner provided lighthearted confusion that amused fans and commentators.

After being dismissed, a clearly frustrated Warner mistakenly headed towards the Oman dressing room instead of Australia's. 

The humorous moment was recorded in real time, bringing a lighthearted element to the game. Realising his error, Warner quickly corrected his path and joined his Australian teammates.

The mix-up occurred when Warner, after being dismissed by Kaleemullah, headed towards the wrong dressing room. 

The sight made the commentators giggle, with Mpumelelo Mbangwa pointing out that, "Warner is not a rookie, and this is a rookie mistake."

In the 19th over, Warner tried a shot but sliced it straight to Shoaib Khan at long off, ending his stay at the crease. He gave Australia the solidity they needed after a mini collapse with six fours and a six during his innings. 

Warner played a pivotal role in stabilising the Australian innings, scoring crucial 56 runs off 51 balls. His innings was vital, especially after a shaky start that saw Australia lose three wickets within the first nine overs.

In addition to significantly improving the team's score, his half-century helped him overtake Aaron Finch as Australia's all-time leading run scorer in T20Is.
