On Monday, December 23, Melbourne Renegades locked horns against Perth Scorchers at the Marvel Stadium, where the Scorchers, batting first, put 143 runs on the board. It was a brilliant piece of bowling from the hosts as Tom Rogers took a three-wicket haul.

Despite the batting failure from Perth, Cooper Connolly was the sole man fighting with the bat as he amassed 66 (50), which featured one four and six sixes. 

Further, Connolly also hogged the internet after he mirrored Yuvraj Singh with a brilliant shot for a maximum. The internet went into a frenzy with a six as they were reminded of the former India batter, who made a mark with his stylish shots. Also, Connolly's shot is being touted as the shot of the season.

It is worth noting that Cooper Connolly is having a season to remember as he has amassed 144 runs in three innings, which averages 48. It is his second fifty-plus score as he also scored 64 (51) in the first T20I against Melbourne Stars. 

Talking about the ongoing match, Renegades are 66/3 after 6 overs and require just 78 to win off 83 balls. Perth Scorchers started the tournament with a win, but suffered a defeat in their second match and are on course of their second straight defeat.
