Pakistan players are known for their comical stuffs on the field and time and again, they have given fans something to talk about. Be it their catching efforts, or fielding attempts, Pakistan cricket always produce moments which gets more attention than the actual match.

A similar brainfade moment occurred in the ongoing Champions Cup clash between the Stallions and Lions. The two Lions batters, Ahmed Daniyal and Aamer Yamin, were involved in a comical run-out which perfectly summed up Pakistan cricket.

Comical run-out occurs in Pakistan Champions Cup

After the early wickets, Lions were stuttering and then Yamin and Daniyal resurrected the sinking ship. However, just when they were eager to take the scoreboard forward, the unfortunate run-out happened.

In the 44th over, Daniyal tucked a length ball towards the vacant mid-on region and scampered for a single. However, Yamin wanted a quick second run as he quickly charged for it, but it was too late. Daniyal, once he reached the non strikers end, didn't even look back as the two players had a horrendous miscommunication. The fielder from the deep charged towards the ball and threw it towards the strikers end as Yamin had to sacrifice his wicket.

The top-order failed early, with Imam-ul-Haq failing to deliver in a must-win clash. The team needed a saviour and Mohammad Taha and Sharoon Siraj resurrected the innings with innings of 47 and 38 respectively.

But when the two batters departed, Stallions came on top once again, and the pendulum swung in Lions’ favour, when they found an unlikely duo of Yamin (46), and Daniyal (65), as the duo batted with great responsibility and secured a solid total at the end of the innings. Stallions are without their in-form batter, Babar Azam and need to be at their best to chase this total.
