Chennai Super Kings' in-form batter Shivam Dube had a great start to his innings in his side's ongoing IPL 2024 face-off against Lucknow Super Giants. 

Coming at number five, Dube cleared his intentions right from the word go, smacking ace LSG all-rounder Marcus Stoinis for a gigantic six. 

The incident occurred during the 13th over of CSK's innings when the hosts had just lost Ravindra Jadeja, who departed for a sloth-paced 19-ball 16. As soon as he joined skipper Gaikwad in the middle, Dube announced himself with a humongous six off Stoinis' bowling. 

The Aussie all-rounder looked impressive initially, conceding only two runs off his first four balls. However, his fifth delivery turned out to be a nightmare for him, with Dube smashing him for a glorious straight six. 

It was a full length delivery right in the slot for Dube, whose eyes lit up as he saw the ball in his arc. The explosive southpaw launched it straight over the bowler's head, with the ball sailing over the long on fence for a 81m maximum. 

Riding on Ruturaj Gaikwad's magnificent knock, CSK have set the foundation for a sizeable score. As of writing, the hosts were 135 for three in 15 overs.
