Veteran Mumbai batter Ajinkya Rahane had a disastrous outing in Chennai Super Kings' ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Lucknow Super Kings. 

Opening the batting alongside skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahane managed a solitary run before Matt Henry dismissed him with a beautiful delivery. 

The incident occurred in the very first over of CSK's innings when KL Rahul introduced ace New Zealand seamer Matt Henry into the attack. 

The right-arm pacer kept things tight initially, conceding four runs in his first five deliveries. He concluded his over on a high note, dismissing Rahane, courtesy of a sensational catch from Rahul.

It was a full length delivery that nipped away from Rahane, luring him for a drive. The batter fell in the trap, as he went for a half-hearted drive only to manage an outside edge. 

Rahul, stationed as the keeper, dived towards his right, holding on to a magnificent catch. His clinical effort showcased his extraordinary fielding skills, earning him massive applause. 

After Rahane departed, Daryl Mitchell joined Gaikwad in the middle to steady the ship for the hosts. As of writing, CSK were 30 for one in 3.2 overs, with Gaikwad and Mitchell batting on 20* and 9*, respectively.
