In the ongoing pink ball warm-up match between India and Australia PM XI, the visitors are in the driver's seat and have restricted the hosts to just 240 runs. Harshit Rana was the star with the ball as he took a four-wicket haul.

The Prime Minister's XI had a poor outing with the bat, but opener Sam Konstas was the only exception as he smashed a brilliant century. While others surrendered in front of the Indian bowlers, Konstas toyed with the bowlers and impressed the critics.

Konstas Emulates Jos Buttler And Joe Root

Sam scored 107 (97), which featured 14 fours and a solitary six. Further, he hogged the internet after he played an audacious shot to Prasidh Krishna that went over the keeper's head for a boundary. It reminded the fans of English batters Jos Buttler and Joe Root, who loves to play these kind of shots.

Sam Konstas Ignored By CA For India Series

The ongoing warm-up match is just a practice to get used to the pink ball as Adelaide will host a day and night match from December 6, which will be the 2nd of the five-match Test series. It is worth noting that he was also a part of the Australia A squad that hosted India A before the start of the BGT.

In that series, Konstas amassed 92 runs in four innings, averaging 30.67, which is why he was ignored and rather the Australian team went ahead with Nathan McSweeney, who shone for Australia A in that series.

It is worth noting that McSweeney, has no history of opening in the Sheffield Shield Trophy, but he opened for Australia, and the move did not go well, as he scored just 10 runs in the first Test.
