Brook was dismissed for 50 by Starc [Twitter]
Middle-order batter Harry Brook (50 off 68) became yet another English player to succumb to the short-pitch ploy from Australia after a relentless barrage on the third afternoon of the ongoing Lord's Test.
Australia had opted to go for the short-ball ploy on the 2nd evening after off-spinner Nathan Lyon hobbled off the field due to an injury.
The Pat Cummins-led unit reaped high rewards for it as the likes of Ben Duckett, Joe Root couldn't resist the temptation.
The visitors continued with the same ploy against a high-flying Harry Brook this morning, with Mitchell Starc constantly getting the ball to zip away past his nose.
The Yorkshire batsman, who had just moved past yet another 50+ score in Test cricket, eventually walked into the trap as he backed away outside leg-stump to Starc and tried to slap it over cover.
He could only get a thick leading edge, and skipper Cummins made no mistake at cover.
Brook's dismissal was the second body blow for England on the third morning. The home side got off to a disastrous start as their skipper Ben Stokes was sent packing by Starc in the very first over of the innings.
At the time of writing, Australia continued with the bouncer barrage and knocked over England for 325. Australia have a slender lead of 91 to play with.
