In the ongoing Champions Trophy final between India and New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE, Glenn Phillips has again hogged the internet for his superhuman effort. Glenn Phillips Takes A Blinder To Get Rid Of Shubman Gill
Notably, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill stitched a 100-runs plus stand for the first wicket while chasing a target of 252 runs which is when Phillips took that catch. On the 4th ball of the 19th over, Gill tried to clear the boundary with an aerial shot, but Phillips who stood at the short-extra cover position, flew in the air defying gravity and completed the catch, leaving Gill in shock. Glenn Phillips Makes It A Routine To Take Stunners
It is not the first time that Phillips has produced an effort of such sort. He earlier pulled off a super human effort against Pakistan when he got rid of Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan with a brilliant catch at point.
Similarly, he also got rid of Virat Kohli in the group stage match when he dived to his right and took a one-handed stunner. Talking about the ongoing match, Phillips' catch has helped New Zealand pounce back in the match as they also managed to get Virat Kohli out early on and at the time of writing this article, India are 121/2.
