Amir delivers toe crushing yorker [Source: @ilt20onzee/X.com]
Mohammad Amir has been the best bowler of the ILT20 this season and he continued his drem run of picking wickets in his opening spell by dismantling Gulbadin Naib with a toe-crushing yorker. The ball was almost unplayable as the Afghan batter was dismissed cheaply in the finals.
In the finale between Desert Vipers and Dubai Capitals, the Vipers batted first and posted a healthy 189/5. In reply, the Capitals lost David Warner early and Amir gave his side the second inroad in the form of the Afghan batter. He delivered the typical left-arm pacer delivery and brought the batter on his knees.
In his opening burst, Mohammad Amir was up for the challenge as he channeled his inner Wasim Akram and bowled a deadly yorker, almost toe-crushing as Naib failed to get a bat on it. The batter opted for a review, but the decision stood with the bowling team as Amir had given a big breakthrough in the finals.
Curran, Azam Khan propel Vipers to huge total
Vipers needed to post a big total against a strong Capitals batting lineup and they did just that. Despite losing the openers cheaply, Sam Curran (62), and Max Holden (76) led the assault from their end.
They took the attack to the opposition and pushed them on the back-foot. Curran was at his imperial best and towards the end, he was amply supported by Azam Khan, who showcased his finishing skills and scored 27 off 13 balls as the Vipers scored a match-winning total in the grand finale.
