New Zealand dominated the first game of the ODI series against Pakistan and managed to win it by a convincing margin of 73 runs. Notably, batting first in the game New Zealand posted a massive total of 344 runs in the board. This proved too much for the Pakistan team as they were bundled out for 271 runs in 44 overs.
Babar Azam Gets His Form Back In First ODI
Babar Azam has been considered one of the best batters in the modern era. The ODI format is something which Babar enjoys. The thing was evident when he played an anchoring knock of 78 runs in 83 deliveries. Although, he failed to take the team past the victory line, it was a knock that would give the fans and followers of the star a relief.
During the chase, Babar Azam and Salman Agha were engaged in partnership that propelled the team towards the target. While being involved in the partnership, Babar Azam was seen animated during a chat with his partner.

In between the overs, Babar Azam was seen walking to Agha and then punching him on the head animatedly. It looked like the start batter was asking his partner to continue the momentum of the innings.
The next match between the two teams will be played on the 2nd of April at Seddon Park, Hamilton. This is a three match ODI series and while Pakistan will be looking to draw levels by winning the game, New Zealand will try and seal the deal in Hamilton.
