Punjab Kings' (PBKS) Arshdeep Singh and Kagiso Rabada combined to show the world that Riyan Parag can be dismissed in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). On Saturday, the PBKS bowlers staged a comeback against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Mullanpur - thanks to Arshdeep, Sam Curran and Rabada.

After a slow start and a couple of wickets, RR had Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel in the middle, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tanush Kotian's opening stand of 56 runs. Jurel had to walk back as Harshal Patel snapped his wicket, Parag paid the price after trying to produce a stroke.

On a sluglish wicket, Arshdeep dug the ball at a shorter length well outside off-stump, the RR all-rounder - who is in the purplest patch of his IPL career - went for a pull stroke but ended up mistiming the stroke towards Rabada, who ended up taking a skier at cow corner.

Eventually, Parag was dismissed on 23 off 18 balls.

Parag's dismissal ended up being the left-arm seamer's lone wicket of the evening. He eventually became the game's villain as Shimron Hetmyer ended up finishing off the game in Arshdeep's last over.

Needing 10 runs off the last over, the PBKS pacer started off bravely by bowling two solid dot balls - a yorker and a low full-toss. Unfortunately, he bowled the following delivery in the RR slogger's range, who slammed a maximum and collected a brace on the fourth ball.

Arshdeep followed up with an attempted yorker, which eventually ended a high-toss angling down to middle and leg-stump as Hetmyer smacked a leg-side six to take RR home.
