Rohit Sharma basks in immense stardom this season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). Despite stepping down as captain for Mumbai Indians (MI) and passing the reins to Hardik Pandya, his fanbase has only grown.

Everywhere Rohit goes, his name echoes in stadium chants. Fans rush to meet him, eager for a moment with their favourite player.

On Saturday, at Wankhede Stadium while practicing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) game, a fangirl approached him for an autograph. Ever humble, Rohit apologised for making her wait a little as well.

The young fan girl approached Rohit Sharma with deep respect and admiration, attempting to touch his feet as a gesture of her fandom. However, the humble Rohit respectfully declined, saying "don't do that".

Displaying his kindness, Rohit Sharma engaged with her, inquiring about her name as he signed the paintings she bought. She replied with a smile, "Monica."

In a heartwarming gesture, Rohit autographed two exquisite paintings of himself, one bursting with vibrant colors and the other showcasing elegant black and white tones as a cherished memento for his fangirl Monica.

Rohit ready for CSK clash

Before the CSK showdown, Rohit Sharma trains with the team at Wankhede.

With discussions sparked by Michael Vaughan about Rohit potentially joining CSK in the future, this game holds significant importance for both teams who are trying to climb up the table.

Mumbai returns to form by successfully chasing RCB's 196 runs with 7 wickets and 27 balls to spare.
