In a thrilling ongoing match between Afghanistan and Australia, all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai delivered a breathtaking moment that had the crowd on its feet. The incident  occured in the third ball of the 47th over, in which he showcased his power-hitting abilities and bringing his team back into the contest.  

Omarzai's Stunning Six   

The moment unfolded in the 47th over of Afghanistan's innings. Facing Nathan Ellis, Omarzai took his stance as the bowler delivered a back-of-a-length ball outside the off-stump. With remarkable composure and sheer timing, Omarzai got under the ball and unleashed a monstrous hit straight down the ground. 

The ball soared over long-on, traveling a staggering 103 meters before landing deep into the stands.  After the shot, the stadium erupted in excitement as fans jumped in joy.

Afghanistan’s Rocky Start And Middle-Order Revival  

Earlier in the match, Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat first, hoping to post a competitive total. However, the decision seemed questionable when opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz fell early to a fiery delivery from Australian pacer Spencer Johnson.  

Despite the early setback, Sediqullah Atal played a responsible knock, anchoring Afghanistan’s innings with a well-crafted 85 off 95 balls. His steady approach ensured that the team did not collapse under pressure.  

As the innings progressed, Afghanistan needed a strong finish to challenge a formidable Australian side. Azmatullah Omarzai, who took charge in the death overs with his aggressive stroke play. With his composed yet destructive batting, Omarzai's contribution helped Afghanistan reach a respectable total of 273 runs in 50 overs.
