India's young batting allrounder Abhishek Sharma recorded a failure in the final T20I of the ongoing series against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The swashbuckling southpaw, who hammered a belligerent hundred in his second T20I outing, got out for 14 off a poor delivery from Blessing Muzarabani.

The incident occurred during the fourth over of India's innings when Abhishek was trying to steady the ship alongside skipper Shubman Gill.

After conceding five runs, including a boundary, off his first two balls, Muzarabani bounced back remarkably, building pressure on Abhishek with two consecutive dot balls.

However, he erred in his line, offering width to the Indian batter on his fifth delivery. Abhishek's eyes lit up as he went for an aggressive cut shot over the off side.

But, unfortunately, he ended up edging the ball straight to the wicket-keeper Clive Madande, who took a simple catch behind the stumps.

After Abhishek's departure, India lost the prized scalp of Shubman Gill in the fifth over. As of writing, the visitors were in a spot of bother, placed at 49 for three in seven overs, with Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag unbeaten in the middle.
