Travis Head hitting a six (X.com)
Travis Head and David Warner are one of the most dynamic opening pairs in T20 World Cup 2024, and they started off with a bang in an all-important game against England at Barbados. England won the toss and opted to bowl first, and after a quiet first over, Travis Head and Warner smashed three sixes between them against Will Jacks to take Australia off to a bright start.
Will Jacks played for RCB in IPL 2024 and is a primarily a batter who bowls some handy off-breaks. Buttler tried to use him against two left-handers but it backfired badly, as the first tossed up delivery around off was slog-swept over deep mid-wicket. The next delivery was again slogged and it was a bigger and better hit over deep mid-wicket.
On the third delivery, three runs were taken by Head, but Warner also did not back down and played a lovey sweep shot that went over deep backward square leg and eventually 22 runs came off that over.

The carnage did not stop there, and Warner took apart Mark Wood in the fourth over, as Australia ended up crossing the 50-run mark in just the fourth over.
