Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been the talk of the town from the time he was signed by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2025. He became the youngest player to get a IPL contract in history of the tournament at 13 years old.

There was a lot of discussion about when the Royals will use him and how he will perform. The unfortunate injury to RR skipper, Sanju Samson gave the management the chance to include the teenager in the playing combination.

Since being a part of the the RR playing combination, Suryavanshi has shown a lot of promise. The latest exploits by the young boy against GT ensures that he will have a wonderful career ahead.


Vaibhav Suryavanshi destroyed Ishant Sharma in the match with three sixes and two boundaries in the fourth over of the game. The southpaw started the over with a couple of sixes and followed it up with a four. He hit a six and a four in the fifth and last delivery of the over.

Notably, the Royals are chasing a target of 210 runs in the match. While chasing a total that looks very challenging, the knock by Suryavanshi has given the home team a huge boost. Not only Suryavanshi, the other RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has also been in brilliant touch. The duo has given a beautiful start and it looks like the Royals will bring down the target rather easily if the duo continues to bat on. 

On his way to destroying the GT bowlers, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scripted history. He has scored a half-century off just 17 deliveries, the fastest in IPL 2025. Besides, he has also become the youngest player in the history of the tournament to score a half-century.
