Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore is one of the most consistent bowlers in domestic cricket, and is known for his tight bowling in shorter formats of the game. His overall economy rate in T20 cricket is 5.83 which shows how hard it is to hit him regularly, and it fetched him 2 Crore in IPL 2025 mega auction as Gujarat Titans (GT) used RTM for him.
So, as the SMAT 2024 continues to thrill cricket fans, Sai Kishore is expected to make a big impact in the competition. However, in the 99th game between Saurashtra and Tamil Nadu, he was taken to cleaners with two sixes and three fours in a single over by Harvik Desai. The opening batter was recently ignored in IPL 2025 mega auction as he was not bought by any franchise.
Harvik Desai Shows Full Range During His Blistering Knock
The first ball of the over was a dot, while the second delivery was a short one and Harvik pulled it over deep mid-wicket for a six. The third ball was again a short one and it was hammered towards deep mid-wicket again, this time for a four. The fourth ball was launched over long on for a sixer while the boundary off the fifth ball was courtesy an outside edge towards the third man fence.
The shot off the final ball was lovely inside-out cover drive and with it, Desai managed to hit 24 runs in a single over against Sai Kishore.
Sai Kishore eventually got the wicket of Harvik Desai, but the wicketkeeper batter did his job till then with a 53 off just 34 balls. His knock paved way for a big score by Saurashtra in the first innings, and Desai would be pretty happy with his performance against a quality unit like Tamil Nadu.
