Virat Kohli is one of the most classy batters in world cricket, but has not been in great form in T20 World Cup 2024. However, in the big final against South Africa, he has started off with a bang, smashing three fours in the very first over of the match.

The Indian star started with a beautiful square drive as Marco Jansen bowled it full and outside off. He timed the ball perfectly and the ball ran away towards the fence in flash. The next ball was again full, but on middle and leg and Kohli played his trademark flick shot wide of square leg for a boundary.

The best shot though came off the final ball of the over when Marco overpitched again on off.  Virat Kohli leaned forward and played a perfect straight drive past the bowler for the third boundary of the over.

However, India's joy was short-lived and Keshav Maharaj who was brought out to bowl the second over, took wickets of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant to rock India early in the big final. Earlier, Rohit won the toss and elected to bat first and India now need their middle order to fire, if they want to get to a big total on a flat deck at Barbados.
