India will face South Africa in the finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The Men in Blue are eyeing their 2nd T20 World Cup title, while the Proteas are aiming for their maiden World Cup trophy.

Ahead of the much-awaited clash, former India cricketer turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar again stole the limelight for his comments on Ravindra Jadeja. Notably, the two had a verbal altercation in 2019 when Manjrekar called him a 'Bits & Pieces' player, while Jadeja hit back by telling Sanjay that he had enough of his 'Verbal Diarrhoea'.

The two had resolved their issues recently. However, in the latest events, Sanjay spoke about the Barbados pitch and again mentioned Jadeja which might not go well with his fans.

Manjrekar stated that if the surface turns out to be flat, then seamers would have an advantage which is helpful for the Proteas. Amid this, he added that India cannot trust Jadeja on flat tracks.

“I believe if the pitch turns out very good for batting, if it is a flat deck, it will be difficult to give Jadeja four overs. India will have to turn to Hardik Pandya. That is a bit of a weakness that we saw against Australia,” Manjrekar told ESPNCricinfo.

“Hardik doing four overs, Arshdeep Singh is, too, coming to terms with his consistency. On a flat pitch, seam bowling comes under pressure a bit. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will do four overs, but you can't trust Jadeja. Hardik Pandya will have to rise to the occasion, Shivam Dube might have to bowl an over or two,” said Manjrekar further.

Jadeja has had a forgetful tournament so far, as he has not contributed with the bat and even took just 1 wicket in this World Cup 2024.
