The 40-year-old, primarily known for his bowling exploits during a distinguished international career with Australia, reminded cricket fans that he still possesses impressive power with the willow.

Peter Siddle Sends The Ball Out Of The Park

The dramatic moment came at Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide, where South Australia dominated proceedings on Day 1 after choosing to bat first. In the footage, Siddle can be seen advancing down the track with determined intent against a tiring Queensland bowling attack. Spotting the delivery early, the veteran cricketer unleashed a textbook slog sweep with remarkable timing and power.

The ball soared high into the sky before disappearing completely from view, eventually landing in a construction site adjacent to the ground.

South Australia Commands Day 1

South Australia enjoyed a commanding opening day, finishing with an impressive 359/4 from 93 overs. The innings was anchored by Conor McInerney, who compiled a masterful 142 from 222 deliveries and also faced Labuschagne's hilarious celebrappeal.

McInerney's patient knock provided the foundation for South Australia's substantial total, while captain Nathan McSweeney contributed a measured 41 from 117 balls before falling to Jack Wildermuth.

Jason Sangha added valuable middle-order runs with a fluent 67 before Michael Neser trapped him leg-before, while wicketkeeper Alex Carey provided late acceleration with an unbeaten 46 from just 50 deliveries.
