Former Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar has made his return to the crease after a very long time. The Master Blaster, who is currently representing India Masters, is playing against Sri Lanka Masters in the ongoing International Masters League T20 2025.

Sachin Tendulkar Plays Two Brilliant Shots

One of the finest players ever from Indian cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, the God of Cricket, has returned to the pitch after retiring from international cricket back in 2013. Sachin, currently playing for the India Masters in the International Masters League 2025, displayed two outstanding shots against Isuru Udana, who is representing the Sri Lankan side in the tournament.

The match, currently happening at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, saw the visitors winning the toss and putting the hosts into bat. Tendulkar, the captain of the side, came out with his opening partner Ambati Rayudu.

The right-hander started off with a dot ball against Udana but played a perfect cover drive on the very next delivery to get off the mark. This was followed by another perfect shot through the offside as the 51-year-old reminded fans of his old vintage class. However, his party didn't last long as Suranga Lakmal cleaned him up in the fourth over when he was batting on 10 off eight deliveries.

Tendulkar was the second person to be dismissed after Rayudu, who lost his wicket for five in the second over, as India were by then two down for 26. Nonetheless, the hosts recovered brilliantly thereafter as they went on to score 146 by the end of 15 overs, with Stuart Binny (68*) and Gurkeerat Singh Mann (44) playing solid hands. Meanwhile, Lakmal was brilliant with figures of 2 for 7 in his two overs.

The International Masters League 2025 began on the 22nd of February and will run until the 16th of March when the final is scheduled for this tournament.
