The second ODI between Australia and Pakistan is turning out to be quite an interesting game. Aussies were bowled out for just 140 in the first innings and Pakistan started off a chase on a confident note with openers brewing up a stand of 84 runs. It looked like the visitors would run away with the game easily, but Lance Morris has now brought back Australia in the game by sending back both the openers back to the hut in the same over.
Abdullah Shafique departed on the first delivery of the 18th over and it was courtesy a brilliant reflex catch by the Morris himself on his follow through. It was a full delivery on off and Abdullah Shafique played a drive. He timed it well, but he hit the ball in the air and straight to Morris. The fast bowler took a sharp catch and Australia finally got a breakthrough as he departed for 37 off 53 balls.
Morris Removes Saim Ayub To Bring Australia Back In The Game
In the same over, Morris then cleaned up dangerous Saim Ayub. He departed on 42 off 52 balls and Lance Morris got his wicket off a shortish delivery, outside off. Ayub tried to punch it towards the offside, but go an inside edge and the ball shattered the stumps.
It was just the opening that Australia needed and they would now be hoping to get some more quick wickets and put pressure back on Pakistan in this decider. Australia won the first game of the series, but since then Pakistan have dominated and after a win in the second match, they are still the favourites to win this final game.
