Salt catch reaction [Source: @vish0322/x.com]
Just when the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) needed a miracle to stay alive in the finals against Punjab Kings, Phil Salt produced a moment of magic and perhaps took the catch of the tournament to dismiss the dangerous Priyansh Arya for a quick-fire 24.
Chasing 191 runs to win the IPL title, PBKS started strongly with Arya looking in solid touch as he played some aggressive strokes. However, Salt did the unthinkable in a pressure situation and plucked a stunner to sent him home.
Salt's stunner reminds fans of Suryakumar's efforts
Hazlewood bowled a short of a length ball as Arya miscued his pull. The ball was travelling past the square leg boundary as Phil Salt charged towards his right and jumped brilliantly to complete the catch. However, he misbalanced himself as the fielder hurled the ball in the air and went past the boundary ropes. But Salt jumped back in and took a really sharp catch as RCB got the much-needed breakthrough.
This catch reminded fans of the Suryakumar Yadav catch which he took in the T20 World Cup finals Vs South Africa last year. Just like Salt, that catch also came in when the team needed a miracle.

PBKS-RCB finale hangs in balance
PBKS needed 191 to seal the win, however, they lost the momentum after a brisk start. The pitch had some spongy bounce as even RCB bowlers exploited it to perfection. The team still needs plenty of runs to win the contest as RCB need 8 wickets to clinch their first IPL title.
