In the challenging final match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, RCB legend Virat Kohli played a slow knock. Batting 35 deliveries, Kohli was only able to manage 43 runs.

Kohli opened the innings alongside Phil Salt, and played the anchor, scoring 43 runs off 35 deliveries, where Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended up posting 190 on the board after the end of the 20 overs with nine wickets down.

Virat Kohli's IPL Final Knock Gets Twitter's Attention

In what was expected to be a 200-plus total, RCB (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) had to settle for 190 after the conclusion of the 20 overs, where Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson bowled decently enough to pick three wickets each, keeping RCB to that score.

Thanks to Virat Kohli's knock of 43 off 35, RCB couldn't get past the 200-run mark, as the legendary batter couldn't shift gears and lost his wicket at the wrong time to Azmatullah Omarzai, who caught him off his own bowling in the 15th over, where RCB's score was 131 for four down.

Kohli only struck three boundaries during his knock without any sixes, as he batted at a strike rate of 122.86. As his slow knock didn't help RCB's cause, the fans on social media platform X took notice and posted some hilarious memes about Kohli and RCB's fortune in the IPL final. The fans brought their A-game and posted some hilarious reactions that are trending online.

RCB were going decently until Kohli's departure, with some good powerful hitting from skipper Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma.

Meanwhile, a cameo from Romario Shepherd helped RCB get some more runs on the board, as they got to a total that is still good enough for the final. It will now be interesting to see if the Punjab Kings, led by Shreyas Iyer, are able to chase this total down.
