In the ongoing 3rd ODI between India and South Africa in Vizag, the Proteas, despite losing an early wicket, got off to a brilliant start courtesy of Quinton de Kock's century. The visitors were cruising towards a big total, but Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav turned the course of the game.

The Proteas were 168/2 at one point and lost six wickets for just 84 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets in his nine overs. The left-arm spinner wanted to wrap up things early, which eventually led to a hilarious on-field moment featuring Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Notably, on the 3rd ball of the 41st over of the first innings, Keshav Maharaj's inside edge hit him on the foot, and it seemed that KL Rahul took a miraculous catch off his boot. KL was confident, and the umpires, too, went upstairs.

The replay showed that the ball rolled onto the ground, and the entire stadium erupted in laughter that KL and Kuldeep were confident about that appeal. Eventually, the camera panned onto Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who were equally stunned.

Virat, who sat calmly on the ground, hilariously threatened to slap Kuldeep for his kiddish appeal, while Rohit, in his usual demeanour, showed his disbelief at the appeal, and Kuldeep Yadav could only smile at it.

Kuldeep Yadav and Rohit Sharma's banter takes centre stage

Notably, it was just the start of the entertaining few overs that followed because Kuldeep was chasing his five-wicket haul and in the search, there were several appeals, which Yadav wanted to be referred. However, the higher authority didn't deem it to be legitimate and rejected his request, resulting in funny moments.

Nonetheless, at the time of writing this article, South Africa are 258/9, and Kuldeep Yadav has taken a four-wicket haul.
