Tushar Deshpande has been a consistent performer for Mumbai in domestic cricket and has found success in IPL during the last couple of years. The pacer also got rewarded with an Indian cap in the shortest format during the Zimbabwe series and is now playing for India A against England Lions.

The right-arm pacer has a good first-class record and has the ability to bowl long spells which has now helped him get the big wicket of well-set Tom Haines in the 2nd unofficial Test. The English batter scored 171 in the last Test and looked good for another big score on Day 2 before Tea break with 54 runs to his name.
However, Tushar Deshpande produced an absolute beauty on the fifth ball of the 28th over and broke a dangerous-looking stand of 94 runs between Haines and Emilo Gay. It was a good-length delivery, around off. Tom Haines made a tentative poke and the ball caught the outside edge of the blade to hand an easy catch to the keeper, Dhruv Jurel.

Interestingly, the ball was changed just before the start of that over and it worked in India's favour straightaway. Earlier, Anshul Kamboj got an early wicket of Ben McKinney, but a good second-wicket stand brought stability back in the England Lions' innings and they are in a strong position despite the loss of Haines before the Tea break.
India A, in their first innings, scored 348 runs with KL Rahul smashing a century in his return to the longest format. The likes of Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Reddy also made important contributions to stake their claim for a spot in India's XI for the first Test against England.
