Toss Delayed As Pakistan Vs South Africa 3rd T20I Gets Hampered For Lightning (Source: @_FaridKhan/X)
In an unfortunate news, the toss before the start of the third T20I between South Africa and Pakistan has been delayed due to lightning at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. Even though Pakistan had announced the playing XI before, covers are on at this moment, leaving fans upset.
At this point, dark clouds are all over the sky above the Wanderers Stadium, and there was some drizzle as well. However, there is no need to end the hope as of now. Having been 2-0 down, Pakistan, under Mohammad Rizwan, have already lost the series with a game to spare. Hence, they would love to stage a fightback before the focus shifts to ODIs, followed by Tests.
PAK vs SA 3rd T20I: Playing XIs
Pakistan: Mohammad Rizwan (c/wk), Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Tayyab Tahir, Salman Agha, Irfan Khan, Abbas Afridi, Shaheen Afridi, Jahandad Khan, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed
South Africa: Not Announced.
Eventually, the match was called off without a ball being bowled at 11.32 PM IST. With that, Pakistan ended the series without registering a single win.
South Africa and Pakistan will now play a three-match ODI series, starting on December 17 at Boland Park, Paarl. Then the next two ODIs will be played at SuperSport Park, Centurion and The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, on December 19 and December 22 respectively.
The Tests, which will be a two-series affair, will get underway at SuperSport Park, Centurion on December 26.
